Hello from Cambodia

I arrived in Cambodia around 7pm Saturday. My cousin and I took a mini walking tour of the area and came back to our guesthouse to shower and rest. My routine thus far has been vigorous. I wake up around 5-6 latest 7 every morning, have breakfast and tour or run errands daily. I come back to my aunt’s house in Vietnam or the guesthouse in Cambodia to take an afternoon nap, shower about 3-5 times daily and finish off my night around 9, 10 latest. On my trip to Cambodia, I got held back at the border (go figure!) because my visa was not attached to my passport and it was required for my passage into Cambodia. I had to stay behind and wait two hours until the next tour bus came. Finally set sail and crossed a ferry across the Mekong River. The site of the Cambodian country side is amazing.

We finally start education training tomorrow. Cambodia is currently celebrating a festival and our coordinator tells us that the major cities typically becomes a little desserted because everyone is spending time with their families in the country and attending temple ceremonies.

I am a bit tired by now. The internet connection here is extremely too slow for me to upload my massive gallery of pictures so a few will just have to do for now.

October 1, 2008..

I’m writing these posts a little backwards. Since I have the opportunity to post my most recent pictures, i’ll take some time doing that now and catching up on everything else once the ball starts rolling in Vietnam. Cambodian holiday is now over and school is back in session but the streets are still as crowded as I thought it would be.

We thought a typhoon was coming, there was a gust of strong winds hereand a hurricane warning for Taiwan and parts of southeast Asia. Nothing too extreme for us here in Phnom Penh besides the usual rain. It’s actually helped with the humidity and extreme heat.

My classmates and cousin at the end and a photo of class in session. Time to head back.

Greetings From Vietnam

“I’ve arrived!” -Russell Peters.

Hair blowing swiftly in the midnight Saigon breeze, stomach filled with my first taste of authentic Vietnamese cooking in two years . . . it’s great to be back (home).

Nintendo ds bs

Tony surprised me with my very own nintendo ds yesterday. This shit is bananas! I’ve been bumming off of my niece and nephew for who knows how long. I finally have my very own. For some odd reason, he assumed I would prefer the limited edition version and Pokemon of all things! Along with a huge pink carrying case, kung fu panda game & super mario cart. MEN!!

Pokemon ds

I appreciate his thought, although I still think it’s an attempt to shut me up for a few. Still, Pokemon, pink, kung fu panda? WHAT?! I would’ve preferred …

or any of it’s brain age affiliates

Last I checked, I was going to China!

Or maybe some sorta game that will occupy me for some time on the airplane without me having to pull my hair out or dislocating my fingers. I miss the good old zelda, mario, super nintendo games. OOHHH!!! I just found a travel kit, yay for travel necessities.

Speaking of China and Chinese
hahahha, Fa Kin Su Pah!

So for today’s reading…. I decided to read my freshman year history book. Hoorah for Republican National Convention. Don’t ask, I don’t know which political party I am in, for now I just party.

Back to the ds, what the hell! How the heck do I do a 4 power-slide turbo boost. I sat there youtubing this crap and I still can’t figure it out.

Mother! Gotta wait for my nephew to get back from 2nd grade tomorrow to teach me. He beats me in every game, damnit.

All that Jas

I’m usually particular about my clutter. I know exactly what I have and where I have it. Same goes for my desk, book shelf, dvd collection, pumps & sneakers, and as shown above… my bag. I recently received my new bag (knot wing hobo by Jas MB) from my man-friend. Since then, I have shoved everything possible into this hobo of mine. Let’s see what I compiled :

+ My makeup bag (titled “face”)

Makeup bag revealed :
+ Prescriptives (togo kit of course) loose powder
+ Jane Iredale oil sheets
+ brushes
+ Mac supplies
+ concealer
+ Burberry perfume
+ Eye products
+ Lip gloss
+ chap stick

EQUALS my day look

continuing with my bag …
+ pens
+ Airplane tickets
+ Doctor’s note
+ comb
+ Wallet
+ Personal & business checkbook
+ Receipts
+ Business cards
+ 80-09 planner
+ a book
+ hand sanitizer
- my crackberry
- my camera

Finally decided to pick my sorry butt up from my agonizing and unsettling dilemma for some self-motiving past time. Went to Border’s, bought a cup of coffee, fat-induced coconut brownie and sat down to read “Laws of Attraction” by Michael Losier. I saw some neat exercises I wanted to do on my girlfriends. Can’t wait until we all get together again to show them what I learned. The book is short, yet amazing. I stopped by Book Sale and purchased another two books. Wanted to do some reading on history but decided to buy books on law. It, along with travel, seems to be the only two things sparking my interest lately.

“I attract to my life whatever I give attention, energy, and focus to, whether positive or negative.” -Losier

Here’s what I learned from Losier: By filling out your ideal list (whatever it may be), you are able to recognize the things you do want in your life instead of the things you don’t want (the contrast).

Here’s what you do. Create a T-chart of Contrast and Clarity and write in what it is you most desire. Then take your time to jot down a list of negative things (in contrast section, left) you have been attracting. Example, My ideal relationship. Contrast: He doesn’t pay enough attention to me, He doesn’t like to travel, He doesn’t compliment me. On the other side, your Clarity, jot down what you want instead. Example, He gives me an abundance of attention, He takes long term and short term travels, he thinks im attractive.

1. Identify your desires

Exhibit A.
Clarity Through Contrast (worksheet) Take some time to fill it out on your own

My Ideal ___________________________
(ie. Relationship, Career, Health, etc.)

So, What do you want?

Contrast - Things you don’t like | Clarity – Things you would like

After you have figured out your contrast and clarified the things you do want. Next;

2. Give your desires attention
3. Allow your desires to happen
4. Observe your abundant-ness

You will receive what you give, some people call it karma, faith, coincidence, Losier indicates in this book that it is rather the Law of Attraction that response to us. Attracting more of what you want and getting rid of what you don’t want.
