Running with my eyes wide shut
May 27, 2009
Everytime I update, my changes seem to be so drastic. I’m so accustomed to big changes that if they weren’t to happen every once in a while, i’d feel lost. I think that’s what even brought me here to Asia in the first place.
Let me take you on a mini stroll…

The lovely Isabelle** and I took a business trip to South Korea. As soon as we arrived in Seoul, we took the KTX to Busan.
**my new roommate from California here to continue her International modeling career, woo Issy!)
My first cross country train ride.
This was a business trip so we didn’t do anything else but go to the Content Market (BCM2009) ate Korean food and dance around in our room (literally).
My agent placed us in a nice room at Seacloud Hotel and the market was a shuttle bus ride away at Grand Hotel. Busan is so beautiful that I had to blog about it (I didn’t even blog about Thailand). I would love to go back to visit and do some more site seeing. The weather was amazing and people were super nice. Very accommodating. Typically, Korean people (in Korea) rarely speak English. The way I see it, back then… and now, they didn’t really need to. South Korea is a very fast pace economy. If they were stuck to live in S.Korea for forever without ever seeing the world, I think they would be ok. I know I should read more on the news, the late South Korean president committed suicide. Rest In Peace Mr. President. I really haven’t had anytime to. I wanted to get the English-Vietnamese newspaper delivered to my office (**note to self) but haven’t gotten around to doing that either! Very random-ish. But it’s my blog, i’ll do what I want! Isn’t the view beautiful? I’ve always wanted to see Korea and very blessed my company gave me the opportunity. I felt like I was in a Korean drama.
We literally ate Korean food from the moment we stepped off the airplane all the way until the last night there. Oh wait, the last night we had Papa Johns Pizza & sent out dance videos to our friends on facebook. That was fun.
”Dynamic Busan!”
It really is dynamic. I bet you didn’t know that there’s a huge Korean community here in Ho Chi Minh City. They mostly live in Phu My Hung (district 7). I’m recently working with Korean clients and it really is like the movies. Everything is like a movie to me.

It looks like I cut my hair, no? I think that’s what I’m going to do next… cut my hair super short. Anyway, you can’t really tell that they inserted a page with my company profile (but they are!) along with my photo on the buyers section of the BCM2009 booklet. Weee! It’s a small deal but it just made me more aware of how realistic this all is. It’s not a dream!
After Korea, I took a trip to Hong Kong.

The trip was short & much needed, thank you sir!
The rest are secret chapters of my life. let’s preview, it’s much more interesting with photos. Even without words, it can tell amazing stories.
Career, friendship, rainy days… all things vital in our lives.

& of course, momma tran is here! Meeting her in our hometown (Hue) this weekend.
Ta-Ta!
